Maui Jim started in 1987 as a small company selling sunglasses on Ka anapali beach in Lahaina, Maui. Seeing the need in the market for a technology that could protect the eyes from intense glare and harmful ultraviolet radiation while at the same time bringing to life the island's vibrant colors, we created the revolutionary PolarizedPlus2® lens.
What started as our Classic collection of seven styles has evolved into over 125 sunglass styles, all of which are polarized and protect against 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays, and over 125 styles of glasses.
Our original office is located in Lahaina, Maui, and we still design and test all of our sunglasses there.
